Cursed Unit
Horse Masters
Corporal Boudreaux had a pretty good life. He enjoyed being part of his unit and was frequently placed in charge of the horses, who he tended to prefer to humans. His life took a turn though when she walked onto post. Her long blonde hair and hazel eyes that would shift from green to brown to hazel knocked his feet out from under him. The problem, she was married. The attraction he felt was almost more than he could handle, especially when he found out her husband's secret.
Rhiannon was tired of her husband's abuse. For years he had treated her as nothing but a possession that he could use and abuse however he wanted. The voices in her head kept saying that a man was coming to save her, but with the years passing she was loosing hope. When they were transferred to the small post at Backwater she hoped that things were going to be different, that perhaps her husband would change. He didn't, in fact things got worse. When Coporal Boudreaux offered to help her she couldn't believe he was serious. The voices were speaking louder now and shadows seemed to cling to her. Could this gentle man really be the one promised?
Witch and Wolf
Life had resolved into normal post duties. Patrols were sent out to monitor the roads and forests around the post. Boudreaux and Rhiannon's wedding was planned. Everything seemed to be going smoothly until the night of the wedding. Rhiannon's father decided to show up and cause issues. On top of it an old foe, one that was thought to have been dealt with, rears its ugly head. Will the help from the hunters Johnny and Fox be enough to get everyone home? Can Marcus and Rhiannon survive the assaults from two fronts? Will Captain Halloway be able to keep his unit safe and bring everyone one home alive?
Wolf Hunter
Corporal Gabriel Pierce loved his life. He was in charge of training new trackers and scouts, he was part of an effective unit that patrolled an area in the mountains to keep the locals safe, and best of all his commanding officers allowed him to hunt. Born to a hunter family, the hunting was his favorite part. Tracking the quarry and finding their hiding placed not only appealed to the man, but the wolf spirit that lived within him as well. He and his wolf worked well together, most of the time. The man loved the thrill of the hunt but his wolf would take things too far and succumb to the blood lust. He struggled to keep control of his best and rarely let it out, terrified that he would loose control to his beast.
Isabel Stranton was done with her parents. After the death of her fiancee during the troubles, she had not found any of the prospects her parents threw at her to be worthy of her time. Learning to escape and hide from her parents Isabel just wanted time to herself when a hunter she couldn't ignore crossed her trail. Fear traveled through the extended family on the ranch, fear that one day John wouldn't come back from the otherworld. Then she finally arrived. John was excited, until he met her. Sarah didn't know what to expect when her family visited the decommissioned fort. She knew that many of the soldiers in her father's unit had trained at the fort and the new owners had been the commanding officers. The men of the fort had a reputation, one of extreme attractiveness as well as an aura of danger. Her mother was more interested in their wealth and potential influence. Despite her reluctance, Sarah knew she would at least attempt to follow her mother's orders, her father's potential promotions depended on it. The number of handsome young men were hard to resist though, especially the ranch hand and the twins. There was another equally handsome young man, blonde with interesting eyes, but he was a cripple and kept insulting her. Sarah had no interest in cripples and yet, there was something about him.
